To identify businesses that are committed to educating themselves on creating inclusive and diverse spaces for the LGTBQ+ community.

To lead, develop and maintain a standard of inclusivity, diversity and equality that businesses need to maintain to be a Pride Certified business.

To create an identifiable way to locate businesses that are committed to providing inclusive LGTBQ+ services for the community.

To educate businesses and services on how to have diverse and inclusive business practices and foster a culture centred around sexual orientation equality and gender equality for their employees and their customers.

As members of the LGBTQ+ community and the KW Region, we developed the idea of Pride Certified through our personal experiences. Going out for a bite to eat, finding a realtor for our first home, or simply getting a haircut… These were all things that we as members of the LGBTQ+ community shouldn’t have to research prior to leaving the house.

As a marked Pride Certified business, our seal guarantees the establishment has had management and employees participate in diversity training surrounded by the ideas of inclusivity, diversity and acceptance.

Through necessary dialogue and collective effort, Pride Certified is educating others on how to make a difference.
